‘The Inspired Brass Quintet are some of the most talented, and enthusiastic brass musicians of their generation’ – Philip Biggs, ( The Brass Herald Magazine ).
The Inspired Brass Quintet is made up of professional brass musicians based in the North West of England. The Inspired Brass Quintet follows the traditional line up of 2 trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba. The ensemble can be expanded, (up to ten-piece), should the repertoire / occasion require it.
Members of the Inspired Brass Quintet are graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and play regularly with professional orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hallé Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a chamber ensemble the Inspired Brass Quintet regularly perform for recitals, weddings, corporate parties, and charity events. Most notably, the Inspired Brass Quintet have performed for Her Majesty the Queen at Whitworth Hall (2008) and for the Labour Party Conference at Manchester Central (2007).
The Inspired Brass Quintet play a wide variety of well-known music. However, they also play a number of original compositions and arrangements by Joel Cooper.
They have recorded 2 Christmas Albums, ‘Brass Baubles I’ & ‘Brass Baubles II’, whose profits were donated to ‘The Christie NHS Foundation Trust’. A third album is planned for December 2016.
What they’ll need: 5 armless chairs and an area of at least 5 x 5 metres. If the event is outdoors, shelter must be provided to protect them and their instruments.
