Audibly and visually thrilling! The perfect party and festival band! – Musicians’ Union
Brass Beats Collective is a network of 20+ professional brass players and drummers. Trumpets, trombones, sousaphone, and drums. The band varies in size from a 4-piece to a 7-piece, depending on the event. The full 7-piece includes a MC/ rapper or singer.
Not your typical function band, they play hip-hop, drum and bass, reggae, dubstep, Mariachi, New Orleans, Balkan and more. They even have a full albums worth of Bavarian-style, ’Oompah’ music, known as ‘The Beer Band Series’, (complete with alpine hats, and Bavarian-style outfits… and dodgy German accents!), and a Christmas selection, (‘Project Ding Dong!’). Music includes originals, (composed by Joel Cooper), and pop covers, including tracks by Taylor Swift, MC Hammer, Nero, Bob Marley, Mosca, Madness, Gorillaz, Faithless, Daft Punk, Body Rockers and more!

Central London band
The original band, (previously called Hot Botz Brass Band), was formed in 2010, following a busking tour of Europe, (10 capital cities in 30 days!). Since then they have performed at countless club venues, parties, and festivals around the UK, including Creamfields, Manchester International Festival, Parklife, Beatherder, the Edinburgh Festival, playing at the E4 venue with the ‘Tom Tom Crew’, and on Stephen. K. Amos’s live stand-up comedy show, (with dancing monkeys!).
In 2011 they brought out their first, self-titled album, (Hot Botz Brass Band – the band changed names to Brass Beats Collective in 2021). In July 2013, with a bigger, 6-piece band and guest MC, they released the single, ‘Tremor’, premiering it at the Beatherder Festival. They released the single, ‘Free yourself’, (featuring Kathryn Pemberton), in June 2015, and ‘Right Through You’, was released on New Years Day, 2021, (featuring Karmic Evolution). They will be releasing another original single in 2026, (featuring Ruby Barber), with the hopes of recording an exciting new album in 2027.
Brass Beats Collective were shortlisted for BBC Radio 1’s live lounge competition 2021, and have had tracks broadcast on many radio stations worldwide.

Please note: The Brass Beats Collective can perform all acoustically, (no electricity needed!), for small to medium venues. Larger venues will require power sockets and a sound system, (to be discussed when booking). Shelter will be needed, if performing outside, to protect performers and their instruments from the elements.
